If you’ve ever been to Laguna Beach on a holiday weekend, you know the deal—parking is war, the beaches are packed by 9 a.m., and the peaceful ocean vibe gets drowned out by Bluetooth speakers and children’s screams lol.

We met at 5:00 a.m.. Yes, five. As in, stars still out, birds still asleep. And it was so worth it.

There’s something about being up before the world that feels a little sacred. Memorial Day weekend or not, we had the beach entirely to ourselves—no footprints, no distractions, just that soft blue hour light and the sound of waves slapping the shore like they had a secret to tell.

And let’s talk about M + G for a second. They nailed their outfits. Her white silk dress was simple and timeless. His look was relaxed but intentional—neutral tones, rolled sleeves, barefoot. Nothing felt forced. Nothing looked overstyled. It was all just… them.

The photos carry this quiet kind of intimacy. You can feel how wrapped up in each other they are—arms tangled, smiles half-asleep, hair damp from the sea mist.

This shoot is proof that sometimes the best moments aren’t planned down to the last detail. Sometimes all you need is a 5 a.m. alarm, a sleepy drive to the beach, and a love that feels bigger than the tide.
